This week's update is a Fan Friday. I know, I know, I can hear the groans already! The update does show off the community's neat creations, such as several bits of fan art and fan fiction, but wait, there's more!

This latest Fan Friday also introduces a new feature called the Developer's Corner, which was created to give the community a sneak-peek at some of the assets the development team is working on.

To get things started the developers are sharing an interesting environmental effect from the planet Balmorra. The effect consists of a large domed energy shield erected over an Imperial military base, which was put in place to protect the townspeople who work there from Republic bombardment.

As part of this first Developer's Corner we are also treated to some samples of the sorts of burns and scars players will be able to customize their characters with. Check 'em out below:
